Welcome to Tea, Toast and Trivia. Thank you for listening in. Elisabeth Van Der Meer from the extraordinary blog, A Russian Affair, has once again …
Season 2 Episode 34: Elisabeth on The Eugene Onegin Challenge Part 2
Once more I had the pleasure to record a podcast with Rebecca. We talked some more about Pushkin and the Eugene Onegin challenge. What else is there to talk about?!
Such an engaging conversation you had with Rebecca, Elisabeth! An expert podcaster and an expert on “Eugene Onegin” (as well as Russian literature in general) is quite a combination!

Elisabeth – my gratitude for all of the guidance, insights, and suggestions that you gave us on The Eugene Onegin Challenge. You were the one who opened the door to Russian Literature and I confess that I have walked through that door and will never go back. I am now reading “A Gentleman of Moscow” – the references to Eugene Onegin, Pushkin, Tolstoy, Pasternak and others now make perfect sense. I am looking forward to our final podcast on this Challenge. And speaking about endings – Pushkin’s final chapter of Eugene Onegin was poignant and profoundly satisfying. Thank you!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!!
